Excitement, news, and meteors.

SOPHIE COMES TOMORROW. I cannot even put into words how excited I am. It can only be explained through GIANT OBNOXIOUS CAPS. YAYAYAYAYAY!

In other news, I'm coming back to Provo.
I'll be there Monday.
For keeps.

Also, the Perseids meteor shower peaked tonight. I went up on the roof with two of my brothers and the dog. It was lovely until some clouds blew in from the east. I wasn't too upset though because I finally got to see my first meteor. Good thing I went to the optometrist this morning for new contacts... (I got new astigmatism contacts for my left eye. Cool, right?)

Webcam job interview... here I come.

Woah. Weird.
I will be interviewing for a job in about 5 minutes via SKYPE. Yeah, weird, right?

good morning

It is 5:30 am. The sun is just starting to rise, birds have been singing now for about half an hour... and I have not slept a wink.

it's so dang hot... arizona was a bad choice... (but not entirely)

It is getting to the ridiculous portion of the summer. The part where the pool is too hot to swim in, where you burn your hand on the handle while trying to enter the house, where you burn your feet THROUGH YOUR SHOES while standing on the sidewalk.

Photo from the car yesterday:

The weather currently:

And this isn't even as bad as it is going to get. A few summers back, it got up to 126. That was a bad day. I wore dress pants to work that day. In all reality, anything beyond 110-115 is just plain hot. So it it doesn't even matter what the temperature is beyond that point, I guess.

Despite this, it has been nice to be here. I have grown up a lot this summer, I think.

I just found out about this thing called the Book of Jer3miah. How did I not hear about it before??

Read a NYT article about it.

It is made at BYU and filmed on campus and around Provo. It's strange seeing places I go everyday as the setting for a web series. It's really well done, so check it out!
